Founder's Note
As the proverb goes: if the plant doesn’t bloom – you don’t change the plant, you change the environment. Guided by that philosophy and Bosnian spite, I decided to change my environment and moved to the U.S. with $20 in my pocket and the will to prove myself to the world.
Thankfully, I met the love of my life, Vildana, soon after. Despite having no money, Vildana and I always had each other and our dreams of making it in the world. We knew that through hard work, determination, integrity and a tiny bit of luck, we could make those dreams a reality.
Starting as a dispatcher, then moving into a brokerage job, and eventually going out on my own as a truck driver, I went through every phase and have seen all there is to see in the trucking industry.
From the first solo ride to today, JoyRide has grown into an organization with over 250 drivers covering multiple states, working with some of the biggest companies in the world and pushing through boundaries that none of us believed to be possible.
I’m convinced that the success of JoyRide comes down to the people. I’ve always believed in hiring the best and treating them right and, by focusing on our values and the culture surrounding them, we’ve created an environment where we are all driven to succeed.
