Q: You earned a perfect safety score of 100 in May. What’s your golden rule for staying safe on the road?

Leonard: “Safety always comes first. No load is worth risking your life or someone else’s. My goal is to finish every run safely and get home to my family. That mindset helps me maintain high standards every day.”

Q: You also logged over 10,000 miles in May. How do you stay focused during long hauls?

Leonard: “When you’re driving an 80,000-pound truck, every second matters. I stay alert by getting proper rest and knowing when to take a break. Being well-rested helps me stay focused and in control.”

Q: What advice would you give new JoyRide drivers?

Leonard: “Keep in touch with dispatch. Good communication is essential. If you’re ever unsure about instructions or a load, ask questions. Clear communication prevents mistakes and keeps everything running smoothly.”

Q: Anything else you’d like to share?

Leonard: “When I’m not on the road, I enjoy singing karaoke on weekends. It’s a fun way to relax and recharge for the week ahead.”
