Safety Progress & Our Driver-First Culture

The company made meaningful year-over-year improvements in every major safety metric.
Safety emerged as one of JoyRide’s most significant achievements in 2025, culminating in receiving the 2024 Fleet Safety Award (3–7 million mile category) from the Arizona Trucking Association.
This recognition reflected months of disciplined work, investment in technology, and a deeply ingrained “driver-first” culture that shaped every aspect of the fleet’s performance.
With Samsara’s driver-facing cameras deployed fleetwide, JoyRide enhanced its real-time coaching capabilities, sharply reduced at-risk behaviors, and prevented multiple incidents that could have otherwise resulted in safety violations or roadside events.
This contributed to a 25% improvement in the FMCSA Unsafe Driving score. Additional gains across Hours of Service, Vehicle Maintenance, and Driver Fitness reinforced a consistent upward trajectory in safety performance.
Training was another area of major progress. Monthly Infinit-I compliance modules kept drivers informed and aligned on expectations, while annual in-person sessions in Phoenix and California strengthened hands-on learning and accountability.
The reintroduction of JoyRide Academy created a structured pathway for drivers with fewer than two years of experience, ensuring they received consistent safety education, early support, and long-term retention guidance. 2025 demonstrated that safety at JoyRide extends far beyond compliance. It is a strategic differentiator, a cultural anchor, and one of the company’s strongest foundations for future systemization.
